Propellr Lite is a free website build offer from Calm Digital Solutions, designed for businesses that want a professional online presence without the hefty upfront costs. It's ideal if you're launching for the first time or looking to move to a simpler, easier-to-manage platform.
The website build itself is completely free. The only cost is £180 + VAT per year (£216 total) to cover website hosting — that's less than 60p a day to keep your business online on our secure servers. Please note that Propellr Lite websites are hosted exclusively with Calm Digital and cannot be transferred to external hosting providers.
Your website includes 4 professionally designed pages — a Homepage, a Contact Page, and two additional pages of your choice from: About, Services, or a Gallery (up to 12 images).
With Propellr Lite, the website template & core system itself remains the property of Calm Digital Solutions — think of it like a rental service rather than an outright purchase. What you do fully own is everything that goes into it — all of your content, images, data and analytics are yours to keep, regardless of whether you stay with us or not. These websites are designed to be an interim site, to get you started. There's no reason to spend the expense on owning a website whilst you're just getting started!
Absolutely. If you already have a domain, we can arrange a transfer for just £25 + VAT so your website works seamlessly with our hosting. If you need a new domain registered, that's a total of £30 + VAT.
Once you've paid the hosting fee and submitted your Creative Brief, you'll receive a preview of your website within 7–10 working days. Along with it you'll get your admin login details and a simple guide so you can edit your content yourself whenever you need to. When you're ready with the content, let us know - and we'll publish it live!
You're welcome to provide your own content and images, but if you'd prefer help we offer a professional Content Writing Service for £165 + VAT. During a short phone call we'll learn about your business and write everything for you — so your website sounds polished from day one.
Absolutely — and we actively encourage it. Propellr Lite is the perfect launch pad, but when you're ready to scale we can move you up to Propellr Basic or Pro. These are more bespoke builds that rival the likes of Wix and Shopify in functionality, without the transaction fees.
There's a full range of add-ons available at launch or any time afterwards, including an Enquiry Form + GDPR Policy (£75 + VAT), Google Maps Integration (£30 + VAT), a Blog Page (£75 + VAT), a Testimonials Carousel (£75 + VAT), and an SEO-optimised page (£200 + VAT) — among others.
No problem at all. You can cancel at any time, and you're entitled to a partial refund within 90 days of your purchase. You also retain full ownership of all your website content, images, data and analytics — that's always yours to keep.
